Carlo Nasciti da Silva Marquez (1972-), commonly known as Carlo da Silva, is a footballer who currently plays for Fulham in the Premier League and Brazil national football team.

Club Career

Carlo started playing for Santos in Liga do Brasil when he was 18 years old in 1990. Because of his talents, he was called "the new Andres Soto Palinto" He was linked to big clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool, but decided to go to Chelsea. He got 100 goals on 132 appearances for Santos.


Carlo was transferred from Santos to Chelsea for 2M £ in 1995. He played in the first-team from the beginning. He made himself very popular at Stamford Bridge with his 57 goals for the club on 118 appearances. His success helped him to a place in the Brazil squad in the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France. He was transferred to Real Madrid in 1999.

Real Madrid

Carlo played for Real Madrid for three years. He got 88 goals on 100 appearnces for the Madrid club. After complaining on low salary, he was transferred to AC Milan in 2002.

AC Milan

Carlo came to AC Milan in 2002 for 10M £. "He is a fine player and he is worth the money" said Milan legend Carlo Biretta after the transfer. Carlo got 60 goals on 61 appearnces for the club, before being transferred to Melbourne Victory.

Melbourne Victory

Melbourne Victory ,with Rinaldanha as manager, bought Carlo in 2004. Carlo became A-League's topscorer three times in a row and became a member of A-League All Time XI Team. He got 100 goals in 120 appearances for the club.

Real Valladolid

Real Valladolid snapped Carlo up on free transfer in 2007. Carlo got great success and helped Valladolid win the Liga BBVA in 2008. He got 55 goals in 60 matches for the club.

Back to Chelsea

Carlo was transferred back to Chelsea in 2009. He played there to 2011. He didnt have much success, finishing with 12 goals in 60 appearances.


Carlo is currently playing in Fulham, and has announced that he will be retiring here. He was transferred to Fulham 1st January 2011.
